Hope this belongs here since Mongita is not actually a "product". Nevertheless, it was a sizable project that I think will be useful to others. I'm surprised at how well it turned out - especially the performance relative to MongoDB and SQLite given that it's written in pure Python.

Doing market reasearch is an easy to ignore task. Late last week, I was in an interview for an accelerator. They asked me how many potential customers I had talked to and challenged me to talk to 40. I very quickly learned how difficult it was to actually find people to talk to. Still, it's probably the most repeated thing that accelerators say: talk to your customers.
