Hi @tiggreen, congrats on shipping. Your story is very similar to mine.
Having run a service like this for several years now here's one bit of free advice: create a separate domain name now for your ping API endpoints. Sooner or later you'll need to fork these off into their own box(es) and if you keep it as-is you'll need to put a protocol-aware load balancer in front that can route based on...
