Hello fellow makers on PH!
After playing around with programmatically generating images using colorful, smooth patterns and palettes I turned everything into a wallpaper making app for iPhone.
With the fun and creative tools built-in, it is really easy to create something that looks really good. I find myself creating new wallpapers on the go to fit the mood, or even weather (and extensively...

Back in high school I had German as third-language (second was English of course), but I procrastinated my home work by instead coding an application to test myself on vocabulary quizzes.
My German grades did suck, but I finished the app and made a trial version limited to 10 words with unlimited words being unlocked for about 5 USD. And it ended up being featured in a magazine, resulting in...

Congratulations on the launch! I first heard about it when EQT Ventures announced their investment (they also invested in a previous company I was part of), and shortly after that I met two of you (if I remember correctly) at an EQT event in Stockholm. Got on the beta after that and have been happily using it since then!

Congratulations on building an app and releasing it - that is a great achievement by itself!
In my opinion, it is also the point when the journey of developing a product begins. Some make the mistake and see the release as the finish line, when it is actually the starting line.
A possible improvement (by looking at the screenshots - I don't have an Android phone) is that there is a lot to...

I've been a long time user of the Buy Me a Coffee service, and wanted something to instantly notify me of any coffee donations on the desktop. It was also an opportunity to combine two awesome things - emojis and particle effects => emoji confetti!
A small menubar-based native macOS project developed using Swift and SwiftUI. Available for free.

This is a free native macOS companion app for Buy Me a Coffee service. Get a notification on your desktop (with celebratory emoji-confetti!) whenever you receive a donation. Minimal and efficient and lives in your menubar.

The app has been around since three years, and the past 10 version updates consist of "Presenting you with the latest and greatest effects".
Do you care to elaborate on the purpose and what kind of development that you do with the app?

This feels very ChatGPT generated. Be cautions: it does spit an answer or list to whatever you ask it - as in this case.
This feels like a bit of a mix between different things. But does miss fundamental things that should be in every share holder agreement like drag-along, tag-along, definition of bad/good leaver and so on.

If I know what I want, or if the store got a convenient app, then usually mobile. If a also need to research and/or compare - then desktop.
Quick question! Do you shop online using desktop or mobile? And what's your reason?

Not at all, anymore. It does not result in extra exposure. Recommendation from PH themselves is that you as a maker is also the hunter.

According to Screen Time, it is Xcode and Visual Studio Code, and Chrome. That is good - it does mean I'm at least trying to be productive. :)

From an indiehacking/solo perspective: I always try to hedge revenue. That is - to not have "success" defined by the product generating a lot of money or not.
Do I learn something? Does it create something of value even if not a commercial success? Can it generate leads to something else? Can I build something else based on the research/experience that went into the project? And so on.
Hence...

With hindsight a lot of decision can easily be judged. But I think we need to separate decision from result. For example, me taking all my savings and buying Tesla stock. Then 3 months later selling them with a big profit. That is a bad decision with a great result. Instead, I could've diversified and put the money into a global index fund. Probably a much wiser decision, but the result could...

Previously I used Fiverr for designing app icons and similar pictures. Now I use Midjourney. I find it easier to communicate with Midjourney, than on Fiverr (that is the big downside on that platform - so hard to communicate), I get a better result, and I can instantly iterate on it.
