The biggest challenge with async communication that our remote team have had is that we were wasting our time on waiting for each others reply in a chat thread when a quick conversation would resolve issues in seconds.
That's the main reason we started Closer - a communication app for remote teams.

We just created our upcoming product page for Closer - an on-desk portal to bring in-office-like communication and collaboration to the new post COVID work world. https://work-closer.com Currently, Closer is only available over TestFlight, but we are launching on PH soon.
