Landed on this way of taking notes years ago and have refined it into a final system with minimal functionality. While the overall vision is not complete, the underlying "markup-like" syntax for Link Text is complete and wanted to share for reference.
It's nothing fancy, just an indentation-based note-taking scheme for defining specifications or even writing code. It's parsing/handling is no...

Put together a list of 1000 sentences using simple vocabulary but varying the sentence structure quite a bit so you can practice translating sentences into your conlang.

Standard Cross-Language Romanization Scheme
Tone Script is a writing system. If you learn this set of 30 or so symbols (70 or so with sound tones and slight sound variants), you can read and write in any language. It also serves as a translation framework for any app.

I spent about a year whittling down a writing system to its bare essence. Tone Script is the result. Making the font was a whole other thing, but now that it's done it can be used for building pronunciation dictionaries and reading and writing. Pronunciation dictionaries can be useful for speech synthesis, in addition to language learning.
