As a former recruiter I would say the most important step in the hiring process is ensuring that both company and candidate expectations are aligned.
I can't tell you how many horror stories I've heard of lost placements because a candidate didn't like the offer -- or the company couldn't match the salary expectations of the candidate.

What new startup ideas will come from the iOS 18 update?
Did you guys see the new iOS 18 features yet?
I'm a little skeptical of "Apple Intelligence" but I love the new tap to send money feature.

How do you guys feel about Microsoft Recall?
Should we be worried that Microsoft is automatically opting-in all its users to a product that constantly recordings their entire screen?
And do you feel as if other tech giants will pivot away from their own "Recall-like" products because of the recent backlash at Microsoft?
Let me know what you guys are thinking. π

What my team and I are working on.
We built an AI inside of Discord to help connect job seekers and tech startups.
It was a pretty fun project, mostly written in JS.
The reason I like it so much is that we still accomplish that AI feel to our product without connecting to the OpenAI API, lol.

Does AI necessarily have to be a LLM or GPT to be considered an AI?
For example, if I program a twitter bot to automatically respond to tweets that contain the word "ChatGPT-4", is that classified as AI?
The reason I ask this is because if the former case does constitute as an "AI", then we have had AI products for decades.
What questions do you have about A.I. that you're too embarrassed to ask?
