So, it's been a minute since we launched back in May. Our hopes were high and we assumed that once we launch customers will just come rolling in by hundreds. Well, we launched and nothing.. LOL. Soon after we realized that attaining even a single customer is a HUGE task that needs a lot of work. As developers, we tend to think that the project is just a technical part of things.. and we do not realize that marketing is just as important! Anyway, fast-forward to now, we just got our 10th paying customer!!! In the grand scheme it seems like a very tiny number, but to us is a tremendous achievement... b/c if ten customers see a value in our service, then it means we did something right!! Anyway, just thought I need to share this with everyone :) https://cogency.io

@karolina_slovcovaite Good questions.. so 1. The ads ( in our case google ads ) did not work for us very well b/c it is pretty difficult to explain just in a few words how we are different from services like zoom, or teams. So we ended up getting a lot of individuals clicking the ads and they do not really care about collaboration.. rather than just a straight up video call :( 2. The blog posts normally do help.. in our case we did not have any following so that was/ and is rather a lengthy process. ( when you post anything and no one sees it.. its as if you did not post at all, haha ) 3. None of the us (founders) like to be on social media... so Twitter was a non-starter. Soon after we realized that we gotta bite the bullet.. so now I have a twitter presence ( @iamlindamiles )and little by little gaining followers. 4. IH has been a good source of just getting some basic product introductions in and getting decently good advice from the community 5. We launched on AppSumo but that is not going very well b/c AppSumo is only featuring products that already have a ton of reviews and customers so we are buried somewhere deep on their feed ... kinda disappointing b/c we had hoped to be at least found in their "New to AppSumo" section ... but yeah bupkus 6. Jointed a few facebook groups but yet to find out if that will convert into real customers phew.. hope this helps :)

@iamlindamiles @lindamiles Thank you. It really did. Have you tried cold outreach through linkedin and other platforms to your target users? Also, maybe you have an IH invite?
