12-hour clock format. Why?

Question

Sidenote: I'm from the EU 🇪🇺

Still a complete source of confusion and irritation for me every time I need to communicate (most notably from people from other continents) in 12-hour clock format.

But I get it, countries have different rules & specifics and that's how it's gonna stay.

Have any tips on dealing with this, or google all the way?

so you use the 24 hour clock format, like military time? don't most free world countries use 12 format?

Both have different advantages. In day-to-day businesses, we usually use 12 hours clock, for example, school timing, office timing, etc. But in communication with people from different countries, 24 hours clock works better because it eliminates the confusion of AM and PM.

@richw Both for personal and business. EU, Russia, Africa + more still use 24 hour clock format.

I believe in 24 hour format because it makes references simpler.
