After those 2 years of hard work, we're excited to finally launch it on PH and would like to share with you some insights we've learn throughout our journey and experience. --- #2 How to track presentation engagement and improve your content 📈 Presentations are not just about delivering information; they’re about engaging your audience and driving action. Whether you’re pitching to potential clients, training employees, or sharing research findings, understanding how your audience interacts with your content is crucial. Having that in mind, I’m gonna try to explain why you should switch to a presentation software with tracking features if you haven’t yet. The importance of tracking presentation engagement You’re part of your company’s sales team. Everyday you send decks to potentials clients. And every 2 to 3 business days, you send them an email to check if they have read it. Sounds familiar? Here’s the result: ❌ You’re loosing time and energy ❌ Until they answer (if they do), you learn nothing Here’s an alternate reality: You’ve been sending tracked decks to potential clients. And every 2 to 3 business days, you check your analytics dashboard to see which clients opened your deck, and if so, which pages they’ve read. Then, you send a fully customized email based on your knowledge of each prospect behavior. Here’s the result: ✅ You use your time and energy accordingly ✅ You gather informations about your clients before they give you any ✅ You show you’re a professional using advanced tools and technology ✅ You give each prospect a personalized sales experience Tracking decks and documents helps you understand how your audience interacts with them. This means knowing which slides they spend the most time on, which sections they skip, and also which contents they interact most with. Why bother? Because by analyzing these metrics, you’ll be able to - Managing your sales pipeline or audience better and thus be more efficient - Identify strengths and weaknesses in your content, allowing you to make data-driven improvements. --- How to built your presentation for a better tracking (and engagement) 1. Use next-gen presentation softwares Unless you’re already using a CRM, I’d advise you to go for a presentation software that offer built-in analytics features. It’ll be easier and faster because no setup is needed in most cases. You can checkout Canva, Pitch and Editapp as they all offer this feature. 📊 Key Metrics to Track: - Slide views: Which slides are viewed the most and the least. - Time spent: How much time viewers spend on each slide and on the presentation - Interactions: Clicks, videos, sliders and carousels played, forms filled and other interactions 2. Add interactive contents Adding interactive elements to your presentations, such as polls, videos and clickable content, can increase engagement and provide valuable data at the same time. These interactions can be tracked to see which parts of your presentation resonate most with your audience. 🕹️ Interactive contents to consider: - Videos: Queens of content, rulers of all slides, they maximise your chances to engage your audience. - Polls and surveys: Why wait to send a feedback email? Gather real-time information while showing your audience their opinion matter. See how many respond. - Clickable links and buttons: What’s a website without strategically positionned CTAs? Well, the same goes for presentations! Add buttons and links to track your audience’s interest in your product or service. - Sliders and carousels: A great way to show multiple aspects of your product without - Embed apps: Third-party apps and services can be quite useful to increase your audience’s attention and add a few touchpoints. Why send a Figma link in your email if you can embed the whole prototype in your presentation? Why asking for your client availabilities instead of letting him chose a slot on the last slide? --- How to use metrics to improve your content? Once you have gathered data on your presentation’s engagement, it’s time to use that information to make improvements. Here are 5 ways to enhance your content: 1. Identify high-performing slides 2. Improve low-performing slides 3. Optimize presentation length 4. Personalize content 5. Test and iterate --- Tracking presentation engagement is essential for understanding how your audience interacts with your content and identifying areas for improvement. By using the right tools and techniques, you can gather valuable data and make data-driven decisions to enhance your presentations.
