Is it possible to build community among remote teams? (Add a comment to explain your answer!)

Could you elaborate your question a bit? Do you mean community out of separate remote teams, working for same company? Or community out of one remote team? Or community consisting multiple remote teams, working for different companies? :D Biggest thing for is it possible or not, is maybe what this community should be doing and what it should make people feel about itself. That dictates is it possible or not. :)
