Experiencing the world by providing value while keeping costs efficient

Hi makers! I'm looking forward to visiting any of the many places I haven't experienced yet around the world. I'm told that some hackathons help with or completely cover travel costs even from abroad, which would make it easier for me to travel. I'm ready to put my best into the competition too, of course. I've already participated in some hackathons and startup-weekends in motherland Italy winning a couple of those, so I'm familiar with the format. Do you know any event of this kind that helps with costs? Links are appreciated. Thank you!
