I started using Mastodon few years back by curiosity but haven't found my place there yet, so I'm not an active user. Eager to start engaging there though 😁

Perhaps it is just me, but it comes off as a bit creepy asking people to give you other people's information without any indication of what you'll use it for. I know you're a decent guy, and you've been on Mastodon for a long time, so you must be aware this looks like a really weird thing to ask for. Why not just tell people what you're planning on doing with this data so people can make an informed choice about whether to submit?

Mastodon is too hard to use. it's like crypto. Nobody will ever really use it. After twitter I think linkedIn will be the place people will migrate to.
