Are you experiencing specific problems getting engineers to trust you? I have worked on both sides of the fence and the simplest (though not easiest) way to build trust is to put the work in and show your reasoning. People respect effort and diligence, even if doesn't always lead to results and even if they disagree. Just my 2c.

@zaryat I don't have an engineering background, actually i studied Sports Training and Science and now i got an opportunity to be a PM for a product. I'm not having any trouble right now, but i'm always looking for advice on how to improve relationships in the team and especially as someone who is new to this.

@zaryat Building trust with engineers can be challenging, but I have found that putting in the effort and showing my reasoning has been effective. It's important to communicate openly, listen to their concerns, and demonstrate your knowledge and expertise. By consistently demonstrating your commitment and transparency, trust can be built over time.

Building trust with engineers is crucial. Show your expertise, listen to their input, and be transparent about the product's development. Communicate openly, involve them in decision-making, and follow through on commitments. Building a strong relationship based on respect and collaboration will help earn their trust in you and the product.
