Building up referral traffic is important long term and as we're about to launch our software in the public, I would love to know the best places you would recommend to list your startup?

A pretty neat collection & they even list it for you.
@akigugale Cool thanks a lot !
Videodeck
Hands down, Product Hunt. 🙌 And after you launch, I'd say Twitter is the best place to keep the conversation going and promote.
If you have an AI component to your start-up, there are number of new directories. I had some success with https://www.futurepedia.io/

I guess PH, Reddit, and IndieHackers are good enough for my product. But the answer really depends on what your product is about and where are your targeted audience.
PH, LinkedIn, Reddit
Schovis
IndieHackers, PH, Twitter. Also, If you are launching something with AI, there are couple of platforms that do the listing for you
PH, Reddit
Product Hunt, Indie Hackers and Reddit
@marthasnooper ah cool! I did not know about https://www.indiehackers.com
Maybe I do not get Redit, but I tried post a couple of time on Redit and it just keeps removing my posts for some reason. Do you have put in the time to Redit until it recognises you as human and not bot?
@marthasnooper Do you have any good Redit group names to join that are active?
@john_carmichael Don't frequently post on Reddit else it will block your account. Just manage your account with few non promotional activities for few months and then you shall be able to post there.
@marthasnooper yea I find it hard to get into it all.. so much content, and it feels like a lot of work even to just get into a community (because of the bot problem it seems). I've only tried posting 2 or 3 times there in the last 10 years... maybe I will give it another try then.

@marthasnooper @john_carmichael John, I use f5bot.com to track specific keywords and then jump aboard the convo. So I only do comments and barely ever post FOR NOW
Momentum Page
I would recommend different communities like Entre, Makers, Maketo and Momentum also

great question, I think it depends on your vertical but I think appsumo could be another industry agnostic platform ?

@julien_fayad agree. I'm not a big fan of lifetime deals though!

Hey, good discussion opened up here! Actually, I have a site, and I recently talked about "21 Best Startup Directories to Promote Your Business for Free." PH, OpenMoo, Killerstartups, Betalist, Startup Tags, are some of the best startups out there. I put a few here, but if you want to view all of the 21 I mentioned, you can always visit my article, read it for free and check what's up :D https://tigerteamx.com/blog/post...

@tigerteamx great share, appreciate it.
