One highly effective marketing strategy that consistently yields impressive results is implementing a data-driven, customer-centric approach. It involves leveraging comprehensive data analytics to understand the target audience, identify their needs and preferences, and tailor marketing efforts accordingly.

Influencer marketing combined with a Product Hunt launch
Mihajlo Kovacevic
@alara_akcasiz Can give an example of influencer marketing you did?
@istiakahmad @mihajlokovacevic Well, It all started with the Product Hunt launch for us. We researched Twitter and LinkedIn creators beforehand and asked them to share our tool the following days of our launch. But boom, When we launched a lot of creators noticed us and started sharing us without us asking! We don't use a marketplace because they are super expensive we do our research ourselves.

@alara_akcasiz congratulations on the success! Glad to see Product Hunt yielding results!

Consider the following factors into account to ensure an effective marketing strategy that aligns with the nature of the product, the intended market, and the chosen promotional channels. (rewritten with the help of ChatGPT :) ) Product Type: Distinguish between physical and digital products. Further, categorize digital products based on their nature. Product Market: Determine if the target market is B2B, B2C, or another category. Target Audience: Identify the specific audience, such as decision-makers within companies or potential customers with vague prospects. Launch Channels: Choose launch platforms, such as communities, Product Hunt (PH), or social media. Consider the reach of the individual or group launching the product on these platforms. Approach Channels: Select communication channels for outreach, including email, LinkedIn, and social media. Bifurcation of Approach: Decide on the approach type, such as organic content, paid ads, or influencer marketing. Consider the effectiveness and alignment with the target audience.

Usually there isn't just 'one', it's a mixed basket. Each channel nudges prospects differently in their journey, and it really depends on what you're selling. Even when you crush on a campaign, I'm always wary to rely on just one monster driver, because winds change. Example: we used to spend millions/year with Google ads, this is back some years now, and it was our main lead driver. In a span of about 3 months we watched as ads started performing worse and worse and cost went up and up. Google simply changed their algos with the bidding, and nothing worked anymore. We pivoted fast but never went all-in on a single campaign. So the strategy that will yield the best results is a steady, tested approach where you slowly scale the good ones and keep a nice mix going, so if one falls flat you have balance. Like a good stock portfolio, you never go big on just one stock. Email, socials, affiliates, TV, radio (yes, legacy media's still a thing), 'maybe' some streaming platforms but the CPM's are crazy high. We used to go big on content marketing, e-books and white papers, but when was the last time you downloaded an e-book? Again, winds change, long form blog posts work well to a degree but do them because you really love the content and then amplify them on socials, expecting a massive SEO bump probably won't happen. I could go on, hope this helps everyone here, I've been doing this a long time :)

Absolutely! One brilliant marketing move was teaming up with social media influencers for a clothing brand. They partnered with influencers who really resonated with the brand's vibe and style. These influencers shared authentic content featuring the clothes, which created a lot of excitement and got the attention of a broader audience. It was amazing how it drove up sales, brought loads of new eyes to the brand, and got people talking and engaging more on social media.
