I am yet to setup a coming soon page for my product. How effective is it? What kind of notifications(email, inapp) it sends out to people who subscribes?

Stealth websites are fun to make. You get to tease your vision. And its all about vision TBH.

@neelptl2602 I dont recommend using some corporate vibe template from Webflow or framer etc. Go nerdy and hacker vibe. Or if you want to use a ton of money on it. Go with something like hu.ma.ne or cosmos.so. (these websites are anti-corporate-vibe and has lots of vision built in) As an example of the cheaper way to make a teaser site. I'm just drafting a book on AI assisted coding (while i'm learning it my self 😂) And to validate if there is an audience willing to pay down the line. I added a visitor ticker to it (http://visitorbadge.io). Very low fidelity teaser / landing / test page: https://gist.github.com/eonist/2... (I might never release this book, but at least it 0.5k people read it ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ already)

@sentry_co call it andregenius.ai ;)

100% sure! You have more visibility on PH, so engaging with other users, commenting on launches, etc will be more powerful!
Neel Patel
@luc_fernandez got it. Any tips on making the best use of coming soon page?
Luc Fernandez
@neelptl2602 1. Ask your 'supporters' to click on the Notify me button once the coming soon page is live. 2. Interact with other users in the discussions section, under products launches, so they can see your badge.

Launching soon!
I think it does help to build visibility and also track how many people (roughly) to expect on the launch day:)
Neel Patel
@sandradjajic got it. Do they get email on launch day?

Chaimae Sakhi
Yes! People who click "Notify me" know about your launch and product, so I would say it helps a lot
Neel Patel
@chaimae_sakhi1 Any tips on making the best use of coming soon page?

Yes not only does it increase visibility, but it notifies subscribers on the actual day of the launch. It's a lot less pressure to have to message everyone yourself notifying the launch - Highly Recommend!

@mycelebs_elle notifies on email? Any tips on making the best use of coming soon page?

Launching soon!
Yes, it gives us a fantastic window to boost the visibility. By getting people to follow the page during this time, you can create significant anticipation for your upcoming launch.

It could help a lot, and especially maybe add a newsletter to keep up to date with new features that will be implemented weekly

Coming Soon page is an excellent way to generate buzz.

I think the coming soon page is work for garthering a group of people who have some sense and expectations for ur product, they may deepen the impact as you interact with them later. And when you officially launch they will come back and show some support.

No, you are required to launch on the date you've chosen, regardless of who may decide to join you on that day. Consider the possibility that a large company decides to join your launch day – in that case, you won't be able to change the date.
Neel Patel
@kinzarra that’s a great perspective. How would you know if large company decides to join anyway? I mean, is there a way to know beforehand?
Neel Patel
@anna_kasumova awesome. I’ll have a look. Any tips on making the best use of coming soon page?
Maksym Skrypka
I think it is effective. I have launched previous products without "Coming soon", but I am planning to release new product now, I have created a waiting page It will be interesting to compare

@shivangiawasthi have you used for your launch?
Mark Amouzgar
I am already getting feedback and support before launch so yes it's very effective!
Neel Patel
@mark_amouzgar yes but there are other ways to do it as well. Any tips on making the best use of coming soon page?
Mark Amouzgar
@neelptl2602 What other ways do you mean? Because you want the Product Hunt community to be prepared for your launch, and this way they can get to know your product before it's officially launched! Just create the 'Coming Soon' page and share it with the Product Hunt community on LinkedIn and here. This will mean less work for you on launch day because you've already captured attention for your launch and they will get notified as you launch!
Neel Patel
@mark_amouzgar Mark, I meant to ask for tips to optimize the coming soon page.
Sagar Patel
I believe so! If you market it etc, it is supposed to help!
For sure, you have a month before the launch to get people to follow the page, so it massively ups your visability
Neel Patel
@william_mathews1 Any more tips on making the best use of coming soon page?
Neel Patel
@dzaitzow makes sense. Comparing to a category while doing above would also help people get a reference. Would make use of that.

Neel Patel
