"All of humanity's problems stem from man's inability to sit quietly in a room alone," wrote the French philosopher Blaise Pascal. It's a line repeated so frequently, in the era of smartphones and social media, that it's easy to forget how striking it is that he wrote it in the 1600s.

@sentry_co Couldn't agree more. Have you developed any personal regimen to tackle this?
@sayoni_dutta_roy Yes, my apt is built like a sensory tank. Alu foil on the windows, 30-40 color leds set different colours to hack my focus mood. Built everything around the idea of converting atoms to bits. All else is secondary. Deep focus to the max. 🧘 I'm also drifting my sleep. Meaning I usually add 1-2 Hours extra per 24 hours. So in some periods Im nocturnal other periods I drift to morning person mode 😸 Never been more focused in my life. But all good things must come to an end. Dailing rain-man mode it a bit down, now that our startup enters operations mode. 😅
@sentry_co very interesting. You seem to have mastered transforming your physical world. how about your digital world?
@sayoni_dutta_roy iPhone in perma flight-mode, focus-mode and sleep mode so nothing gets through. I got to SoMe, SoMe doesn't go to me. Everything async. I started this journey in 2018. After writing this book: https://github.com/eonist/How-to... and that's pretty much how things turned out for many afterwards. Now async is a cultural thing. Wasn't back then.
@sentry_co Thanks for sharing. Will definitely read through!
