Cool project for the minimum wage or a routine but well-paid job?

It seems to me that people often face a choice: an interesting project that does not bring a lot of profit and a stable job that brings money, but does not bring joy. It's always not an easy choice. What would you choose?

The 'ideal' combination will be a stable part-time allowing time for passion project and personal life.

@killshiva I sincerely admire your strength in this matter, because I am periodically plagued by doubts, but I absolutely agree that stability is of great importance not only from a material point of view, but also from a psychological too.
