Did you notice? There's no 'Featured' or 'All' section for the PH launches today. What's going on?

This seems like a change. I think it’s an experiment due to the recent inquiries from many people who were confused about the rules of what can or cannot be featured. I’m pretty curious to see how this turns out and to be honest, I’m glad that PH is open to this kind of experimentation. I’m interested to see what the community considers important. What do you think?

The all section was basically not used. So removing it makes sense. This is how PH used to be. PH classic. Back when it started, even before my entry. It used to be the employees at PH hunting products and showcasing them. Then it started to work on its own and people started posting products them selfs. Which worked fine, until he age of AI, when bots took over and ran the show. So the pendulum swings back to the beginning. Back to focusing on quality over quantity 💪

@konrad_sx Because of the generally low activity (not counting vote-rings and bots) in the all section versus the high activity in the featured section.

@sentry_co How do you know it was basically not used? I often used it.

Well, there are still "featured" products, i.e. those that are shown immediately without clicking "See all of today's products". Also, the not featured products are not visible at all in the mobile app. So the essential difference is that there's no list only sorted by upvoted anymore, instead we now have a list with the featured products in the first part, and the other ones in the (initially hidden) second part, each sorted by upvotes. See also Rohan's post https://www.producthunt.com/disc... I think it has both advantages and disadvantages.

In addition to the point you made I've noticed a few other changes on PH in recent months, such as no longer displaying everyone's points directly but putting them in a small window on each person's profile, and no longer displaying the number of days in a streak in this window. What's new to me is that on the right side of some usernames it's possible to display the products they've posted (probably), I'd like to know how this was added!

I believe this should be a significant experiment. To be honest, I would prefer to try the new products that are "featured" than not, which is unfair to other useful but "unfeatured" products. This change would reduce the anxiety of product makers who are worried that their products cannot be reached by more hunters, and this could also promote fairness among the community!
