Hey Jake, every profile has its own "weight" which is considered while voting, it is based on kitty coins as well πŸ™Œ

They are a fancy way to stimulate the interactions in the PH Community. More the interaction, more the number of Kitty Coins. I think even now in 2024 they work to push people to interact. Basically, having a high score in Kitty Points is automatically associated with the idea that the user is very active on PH and this entails a whole series of passive benefits such as: greater visibility, greater recognition from other members of the community, greater possibility of expanding the own network of contacts, etc.

Have they ever?

@jaketital Probably too much of a lift to keep that up as the community has ballooned (maybe a digital event invite could be a lower lift and get some of the power users in 'room' together) - Could see some value in that!

@dzaitzow in the beginning they did. There were special events you would get invited to with a certain amount of coins.

I’ve heard them a couple times, but I don’t know much about them.

I've never seen them being used anywhere.
