I use Notion to capture and organize my knowledge, ideas, and projects in one place. I'm curious how familiar is everyone else with this idea.

I use Google Sheets, Notes, and Things 3 to help me keep track of my thoughts and tasks. These tools have become an essential part of my daily routine and help me stay organized and on top of my responsibilities.

I do and I found Notion to be a terrible tool for almost everything. I recently switched from Obsidian to Mem AI for my second brain.

I use Joplin. It's super important to own the encryption keys to your second brain!

Obsidian. I have used Roam Research in the past. I think most people have their digital database (with all the notes, to-do etc) where they organize their ideas. Roam research gave a good shot at bringing more meaning to it but it didn't land as expected and got complex (and pricey) to use. Obsidian helps me to create meaningful connections using my database dump.

Yes! 100% Notion is my command Center for everything I do in my life.

Tried Obsidianā€¦ Formatting not great for me, overly fiddly. Tried notion, UX on iOS not as good as Craft. Settled on Craft for its simplicity, speed at which I can create notes and also offline sync.

Do you use templates? What is your workflow. Itā€™d be great if you can share some more info on how you leverage Notionā€¦ šŸ˜¬

I use mymind.com, great way to throw stuff in there and browse/recall.

Iā€™ve been using Notion, using a zettelkasten-like method to organize notes.

I use NotePlanApp: https://www.producthunt.com/prod... I highly recommend for anyone who's habit for planning and organising their tasks and notes is using a diary or using a calendar application. What I love about NotePlan app is that it combines the functionality of a Calendar app and a Todo app beautifully - allowing me to view and plan my tasks over different time horizons (short daily tasks and longer projects over a week). It also has a very complete note taking functionality that supports markdown and code fencing - critical for developers. The roadmap is completely public and the developer is very attentive to feedback from the user community. The only drawback is that the only available as a MacOS and iOS application.

Nice! I'm actually actively looking for an app for this - I tried Supernotes, Mem.ai, Notion, Walling, Obsidian and many more, but none of them were fitting my needs (I'm quite picky when it comes to usability, the visuals of the app, technical performance and the overall experience and how much effort I need to put into finding or writing down some piece of information). Currently I'm trying out Craft and I feel like it might stick for a longer time with me. It's a bit more like a doc, but it has great linking features and excellent possibilities of organizing content.

@waynesmallman thanks for reaching out, I'd love to test it and give you some feedback! Looks very promising!

@krzesimir_ostrowski It might be worth it to check out Anytype? Still in alpha but it's an all-in-one tool with a graph to link ideas together
Krzesimir
@charlotte_chiang1 oh wow, it looks amazing! Thanks for recommending it. I already signed up for testing. From what I've seen on their website it might be a perfect combination of all the apps I listed in my comment :)

Hi @krzesimir_ostrowski, you've tried a few different products. Me, too. I'm working on a product that focuses on connecting assets such as notes, web pages, tweets, and videos with annotated links ā€” sort of a personal web that takes a rapid prototyping approach to knowledge management. It's the Under Cloud ( https://www.producthunt.com/prod... ), and it'd be wonderful to get some feedback.
Charles Forster
Oh absolutely. I use Notion to keep my entire life organized. I used to use Evernote, but it was missing features I really wanted. I use Notion today for my personal life to keep track of recipes, etc. and for my business for notes, keeping track of affiliate programs, content calendar, and more.

Anytype! For privacy, offline-first, self-hosted alternative. Plus there's a pretty sweet graph view

I use Obsidian for a lot of this. I'm actually finding it easier to "not organise" things for projects and just find docs as I need them with https://eesel.app.
Jason Lee
@amoghito I highly recommend Obsidian, it's graph view just like the way brain thinks.

I also use notion for my second brain. I also have a Zettelkasten/permanent notes section where I develop my notes and link everything for future use and idea development. -> I created this product a while ago, and it's still the same thing I use daily: https://www.producthunt.com/prod...

Hi everyone šŸ–šŸ» I'm building a second brain! Under Cloud is about transforming notes and research into a personal discoverable web with simple annotated links. I launched it here on Product Hunt some time ago. It's in beta at the moment, and it's free. It'd be amazing to get some feedback!

100% Notion here as well. Thanks Easlo for opening this thread. Just yesterday, during a grey and not-so-sunny sunday, I convinced my wife to do the same. Airtable is in my top bookmarks too but I see it more as a db-oriented tool, where you need to store large amount of data. I am actually slowly using DBs inside Notion as well, feels really nice to have everything in one place. I created a main page called "Dashboard" where I put the links that I use the most during my daily routine. Not much addicted to templates yet. I just love creating pages and link them together. :)
