Do you have small features/tasks to assign to a junior developer?

Unfortunately we don't have the bandwidth to take care of juniors and I'm not sure if startups have the capacity to take proper care of them (we look for engineers above mid-level, so we can ship new features faster) But we're going to participate in Hacktoberfest next month, which is an annual event for software engineers to contribute to open-source projects. I think it's a pretty good occasion to gain some relevant experience if someone takes it seriously and offers to do more than the bare minimum, as they not only have a chance to code but also to code as part of a team, so it's as close to real life experience as it can be.
