Do you think PH is a relevant platform to launch B2B products?

I see successful launches of indie makers who target enthusiastic individuals. But does it worth to launch a B2B product in Product Hunt?

I guess yes for some cases, but it depends on what kind of B2B product. If it is a product improves business operation or efficiency, I vote yes, because many user here work in business, they can influence decisions or refer to customers. If it is a product, like mine: audio DSP chipset solutions, I don't think we have audiences here. So no.

We are in b2b space and we launched DeckLinks (Interactive Video Decks for Sales) on PH last month. Our tagline is "Making {b2b_sales} More Human, so it was clear that we are a b2b product. The PH community was super supportive and we got tons of feedback and some paid users. Here is our PH page: www.producthunt.com/posts/decklinks We also wrote about our PH experience here: www.decklinks.com/blog/how-to-la... Hope this helps. L

We've always had huge success launching our new apps for Zenkit (https://zenkit.com/) on Producthunt. Surely there are alot of individuals who are using the Zenkit Suite, yet we have alot of B2B customers, and I'm sure some success in this regard came from Producthunt. Two of our latest apps Hypernotes (https://www.producthunt.com/post...) and Zenforms (https://www.producthunt.com/post...) both hit Product of the day. The launch of the Zenkit Base product back in the day, "only" hit the #4 rank, yet it has way over 1.500 Votes by now. (https://www.producthunt.com/post...) Surely it depends on the product, but I'm almost certain that it will be worth it to launch it here either way 🙂

I think the PH community is inherently targeted toward B2C businesses because it's filled with interested individuals, not companies.

B2B is significantly harder. I tried launching my B2B product (https://www.rohan-malhotra.com/m...) on PH twice and they both failed. I don't know if it was an issue with the product or pitch itself or rather it is just genuinely harder to launch a B2B product. However, with my experience of launching, I think it is possible but just very hard. I know focus on driving traffic to my website with SEO and building great work with Linkedin and those have paid immense dividends.

Curious to hear what people say on this -- I wonder if it depends on the market for your product. If it's people who are in the PH community then ofc, but if it's people who barely use the platform and aren't often associated with it, then perhaps not. For example, accounting software like Xero

I think it's more of a B2C platform. When you see the whole community and customer centricity. But you can find people that can help you with B2B here. So if you think about launching specifically a B2B product, no I don't think it would bring many results, especially if you are new to PH.
