Do you upvote or comment on your competitor product during your own product launch day?

Yeah for sure! Did this just yesterday when it was such a close competition. If the product is good, it deserves an upvote :))

I had the same question, @neha_8 . To be honest, a Product Hunt launch serves two main purposes for us: gaining valuable feedback and increasing visibility. However, that visibility is often directly tied to how well we compete with other products, aiming for a spot in the top 5 or top 10. If I upvote a product that launched on the same day as mine, I'm essentially compromising my own visibility. While I'll certainly leave a comment or reach out to the team if I appreciate their product, I may hesitate to upvote someone who launched on the same day especially if they are closely competing with me in terms of upvotes. The reality is that most visitors on Product Hunt focus on the top 5 to 10 products, so striving for a spot in that range is crucial for gaining more visibility.

No real competitor on PH as most people focus on using Chatgpt and provide very basic solutions. However, if I see someone trying to build one fo out solutions, I always support. Competition is a good thing!
