Oh, the irony of my story is simply hilarious. I had absolutely no plans of diving into the world of startups anytime soon. But life, being the funny little prankster that it is, decided to throw me into this chaotic mess. Thanks, life, you've got a wicked sense of humor.
So, I reluctantly joined forces with a few "friends" to start our own startup. Little did I know that it would turn into a six-month-long grind fest where I discovered that my so-called comrades were experts at evading any actual work. They were masters of entitlement, believing they deserved everything without lifting a finger. We managed to build a team of over ten people, launched a store, automated some stuff, and even had a manifesto that we all pretended to care about.
But then, the moment of truth arrived. I summoned the courage to confront them about the harsh realities of running a businessāthe actual day-to-day operations, you know? Turns out, that was a grave mistake. They completely lost their minds, throwing tantrums like toddlers denied their favorite candy. So, in the blink of an eye, I quit, bid them farewell, and embarked on my daring journey to start my own web design agency. Phase one, here I come!
My noble goal with this startup is to put people firstāwait for itābecause that's such a groundbreaking concept, right? I'm on a mission to work with smart folks who genuinely enjoy solving problems. Call me a visionary, if you will. And once we manage to scrape by and become somewhat stable, brace yourself for the grand pivot. Yes, we'll transform into a product-based agency, because who needs stability or a predictable path in this rollercoaster of entrepreneurship?
So, to answer the burning question, do I work full-time on my startup? Well, of course, I do! I mean, who needs a social life or a good night's sleep when you can indulge in the delightful chaos of entrepreneurship, right? It's a never-ending adventure, filled with sarcasm, dark humor, and a dash of existential dread. Cheers to that!

@maxwellcdavis one day maybe?
@parkeraklein That's the plan!
Yes, been working full time for the last 3 years - sales consulting with early stage startups in founder-led sales mode. Pivoting to AI SaaS this year!
@drewsalesplaybookbuilder Oooh sounds like an exciting space to be in. I bet your workflows are phenomenal!
Sure.
Teamwise: City groups & events
No, but I hope to soon))
To work full-time on a startup, you either need your own sufficient finances to support yourself and the product (if there are expenses for marketing, hosting, etc.) or to receive investments.
The most ideal scenario is if the product starts generating income from the very beginning, which can be used for further development.
@vladimirr absolutely, thank you for sharing Volodimir!

If by Full time you mean 50-plus hours a week, then yes. But I am fortunate that my Full-time job gives me the flexibility and bandwidth to do so.
Would love to hear from those who have fully switched to Full-time what doing so has allowed you to achieve as well as what it has allowed you to now focus on
@divine_rivers1 thank you, Twos (https://www.TwosApp.com). Best place to write, remember, and share *things* āļø. Launching next week would appreciate your support!
@divine_rivers1 that's a start! I left my full-time job a few years ago. It's been a journey and went a year and a half without pay, but with my investments I had more money after the year and a half and now I'm getting paid for my previous side gig. Long way to go, but it has provided a lot more time and focus on my company
@parkeraklein Awesome can only imagine. I love the conviction you've shown for your idea. What are you building?
