Hey, hunters! I wanted to know how many of us work remotely, especially at fully remote companies. Let me know what's your case in the poll and if you'd like to change anything about your situation.

In my 14 years as a developer I have only worked 2 years in an office, and I never did it again! 😅
Martina Hackbartt
@hectorsanchezuk Wow! What's your favorite thing about working remotely?
Hector Sanchez
@martina_hackbartt For me it would be the flexibility, but only when the team has agreed on async communication. It's a bit more difficult to have that flexibility when you have to always be at the desk at the same time every day, it's just like working at an office but not being physically there xD
I very rarely work remotely. I prefer to be in the office!

I have a hybrid option and most of the time, I work remotely.

Hi! My team is completely remote and scattered all over the world) in IT startups this is a common situation) but we call daily in zoom

Working Remotely for a year

Not fully remote actually, going for hybrid with regular office visits and sometimes working from home. Quite flexible!
Enola VEDOVOTTO
I work in a hybrid way. And I'm lucky enough to be able to telecommute on the days I want
Daniel Engels
I work remotely half of the time. I like this hybrid setting.
Martina Hackbartt
@daniel_engels I have never worked in-office yet, but I'd like to try an hybrid model some time! Seems the best option to optimize communication, focus, and save some commuting time!
Daniel Engels
@martina_hackbartt a big fan of remote work, I admit there are some interactions you can't recreate with online presence
We have a hybrid culture in our company. We don't force any employee to come to the office every day. They all do it according to their ease and will.
Brian Regan
I really like having an office but having the flexibility to work from home. I think it is still important for people to have a place where they can get together and collaborate.

My company provides a hybrid option. I enjoy working in the office because we really have fun along with work in our workplace but when I am drained, I prefer working from home.
Joanne Hurley
I work fully remotely and have done for the last 10 years. In my previous company, there were a handful of meet-ups at the office each year as the team were living in many different countries. My current role we are fully remote although there is an office which I may visit at some point.
Muhammad Usman
I love to work remotely, for me best thing about remote work is to have flexibility, and take care of my family and the thing which I miss in remote work is collaborating and having fun physically.
Tanya Kapoor
Hi @martina_hackbartt I work hybrid. What about you?
Martina Hackbartt
@tanya_kapoor I work fully remote! I am a student, so commuting and everything surrounding working in-office would make it very hard to combine work and my studies. I'm glad remote working exists! But in the future, I'd like to try a hybrid scheme just because of the reasons you stated

I have an office in Toronto and one in Karachi (Pakistan). I usually work from the office but I have the option to work full-time from anywhere. This is somewhat funny to me because I worked hard to have the ability to work from anywhere, and now that I can, my personal preference is to work from the office.

My company let me move to Durango a few months ago, even though most of our employees were already back in office. I love remote work and the freedom to live where I want!

As freelancer I work remotely only and I like it a lot especially because I love to work at night

I started working remotely at the beginning of 2019 ... I enjoy visiting my office a few times a year (out of state) but I will never go back to a fully in-office role.
