Does anyone have experience with contacting Reddit moderators in order to post about your product?

I did one a few times and it worked. Got about 30 beta testers. My approach was full transparency. I told them I wanted to respect the rules and ask them permission to have the community help with testing a platform I was building. It was 100% relevant to the subreddit. I told them I would be happy for the moderators to review the product first and was happy to frame the post how they saw fit. One sub Reddit moderator gave me permission and I got 30 beta testers from that one post

Not me but that platform has been on my mind to explore. Hopefully soon.
