Context switching is a huge bottleneck for productivity. Here's Musk talking about: https://x.com/teslaownersSV/status/1661205476007378945
If tech and apps can solve even 50% of this, that will be a huge unlock for humanity.
What are some ways you guys navigate this?

@thisiskp_ I put all my administrative stuff on Monday, like invoicing, paying bills and anything else boring 🥱 (for me). So any admin task that comes in during the week, which can typically wait a few days, I'll snooze them until Monday.
I don't have specific things on other days at the moment, but you could think of marketing/lead gen on Wednesday etc.
On other days I prioritize tasks and use a focus/pomodoro timer ⏲️ to focus on a single task.

Hi @thisiskp_ As much as I would like to, tech and apps cannot solve this unless the mindset takes a shift both inside ourselves and also in expectations of the others. E.g At workplace, if your boss expects you to reply promptly and there is not much you can do about it, it makes it harder to avoid context switching. This mindset should be driven from the top down in a company culture and then the apps can be successful in helping with it.
So far I have been both successful and unsuccessful trying to avoid context switching as we are living in world of constant interruptions and even if we cut it off, we are almost looking for it with our monkey brain. It takes time and disciplin to adapt the good habit. On the other hand, if you have the privilige to decide how you structure your day, that is a great start already.
He's absolutely right. If it weren't for the Worklair task chat channel, we'd be long lost in the sea of chaotic context switching. It's been a game-changer for staying focused.
