We discussed with the team whether email marketing is an effective sales tool. As is tradition, we had different opinions.
What do you think? And how should this tool be used correctly?

Building an email list and keeping an open line of communication with the people who opted in through newsletters and broadcasts? Most definitely.
Cold outreach? Sparsely, and only when you really make an effort to do it right.

Undoubtedly email is good at:
- building relationships or nurturing a lead
- educating on products and services
- driving conversion
- content promotion.
Each email campaign should consist of the next steps:
- choose an email service provider
- set SMART goals
- define your audience, create a list of recipients
- define email type
- create a template
- define a schedule
- measure the results.
I would argue it's one of the most important tools today. From getting more customers to nurturing customer relationships, email marketing plays a huge role. Also, the fact that once you have an email address no one can take it away from you and it cost a tiny amount to reach your customer with a new offer or information is invaluable.
