Google My Business for local SEO - good or bad?

For many years, he has been building customer awareness about the Google service that is Google My Business.
What is your opinion on this?
Is this a good tool for local business?

I do private coaching (in person) and for this, Google My Business has been invaluable. People can see exactly where I operate and learn more about what I do. It also means locals can find me as easily as typing my services into Google Maps.
Super easy to get reviews and testimonials, and easily linked to your website. The analytics are good for my purposes as well.
Is it help in ranking as i have website related resurfacing a driveway in Australia and it rank well and i didn't add in GMB. But my fellow says it is good option for ranking.
