Got distracted, and built a new product

Distractions are a solopreneur's worst enemy. However, about 5 days ago, I got distracted while building my product - and then, built an entirely new product. Here's what happened: I am building a community platform for businesses to host their communities. Now, I've always wanted community platforms to go beyond chats and simple discussions. What if we could include a user-feedback system in the community? I kept thinking and then figured that this could be an entirely new tool; an alternative to UserVoice or Canny. I started a coding marathon and built the tool from the ground up in about 14 hours. Then, I spent the next 3 days fixing obvious bugs. Now, I am finishing the landing page and figuring out the pricing part. I'll soon launch it on PH. But what I realized is that the distraction can sometimes be a boon. Do you agree?
