Happy Friday the 13th! What superstitions do you have with your product?

Hi Product Hunt! 👋

About 5 minutes after going live with our product launch today, I realized it's Friday the 13th.

As technical as I am, there are things I do that make no sense. For example, I try to not QA with my Agora email address. I always have to use my personal email for testing.

Do you have any fun superstitions with your products? 😅

I try to avoid pushing new updates on Friday the 13th. There’s something about the day that makes me feel like something’s bound to break!

I don't launch on Fridays; something about it always gives me a weird feeling. I'll push to the next day instead.

Always monitoring product demos at precisely the same time of day is something I make a point of doing. Just a routine that seems more reliable to me.

I don’t know why, but I always check the app’s performance stats more carefully when launching on days like this. I guess it’s my way of safeguarding things!

I have this silly superstition where I can’t launch new features on full moons or Fridays the 13th. I just feel like the timing’s never right

For some reason, I always make sure everything is perfect before  a Friday launch don’t know if it’s a superstition or just a habit, but it’s become a routine.

I don't send out significant product announcements at 3 p.m. Everything seems to be forgotten on Friday afternoons.

Definitely releasing on Friday the 13th for extra luck! I avoid ever putting the number 13 in my version numbers though just to be safe. And of course, all commits must be in multiples of 8... But hey, whatever works to keep the bugs away, right?

Haha same! I totally knock on wood 3 times before every big product launch 😂 Also I always light a candle at my desk for good vibes while coding - not sure if it actually helps but I'm too superstitious to stop now 🕯️😅 Anyone else have funny product superstitions to share??
