Have or would you ever use a professional consulting firm for your startup/business?

As someone who would probably answer "Haha, no, why would I waste my money?" I would now say yes, I absolutely would - and do. The thing is, if any of this is in your life: - Sacrificing morning hours or evenings to work - Sacrificing weekends and your personal life to work - Not able to take 2 weeks holiday without lots of stressful planning (or just not able to at all) - Uncertainty about whether your business will grow this year or not Then you are winging it and wasting the only resource in life that can't be bought... Time. I used to struggle on for years, feeling so confident about a future that would never materialise. "One day..!!" became "Next year...!!" The thing is, I'm a smart guy. I don't mean to sound arrogant, honestly I spent more time with computers than people as a teenager so there are definitely pros and cons!! But I know how to do a lot of things well - and I think many founders are in the same boat... They found success in one area of life and now have the belief they can figure out most other things. In the early days, my business hit a wall and I needed help. I hired a specialist and it was honestly the best thing ever. What was once fear and uncertainty became clarity and confidence... That's what you pay for; confidence and peace of mind, knowing that you have the expertise needed to overcome your challenges. If you're not hiring any experts to either accelerate growth or confidently overcome challenges, there's a good chance you're driving in the slow lane. If you stay in that lane, one day you will walk into a mountain of regret. If you can afford it - do it!
