The short answer.  Yes.  A bit of explanation. Please note that the success of your lead magnet is dependent on your:

1. Proper definition of your target audience
2.  Attractiveness of your lead magnet,  and its qualifying factor
3. The type of call to action for the Lead magnet

In a typical customer's journey from a total stranger to a paying customer, there is usually a form of Lead magnet to get their signal of interest.

@jacob_jeter never heard of it either but from google: “a free asset or special deal offered to customers in exchange for their contact details”

Similarly, I offered one month free for a premium subscription to rate and review Lyrist and only one user responded 🙃

Somewhat. We got some really cheap leads, but they weren't really the best customers for us as the conversion from lead to user was low.

Yes, I've learnt so much about crafting good lead magnets from you Sveta.

My last one was a directory of Juicy AI ideas, I created it when I was looking for an idea myself before landing on AI tour guide (🙌 launching today - please support 🙌).

It works in the sense that quite a lot of people downloaded and liked it enough to voluntarily pay for a free product
