Have you tried paid ads? Which channel works best?

I’ve recently come across promotion messages from Google, Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest and Twitter. While I have some understanding on Google, my knowledge for the rest is limited. My product is a health & fitness app. Please share your experience, much appreciated! ⭐️
