I don't see a designated category for sales here, which is the lifeline for products to become successful after the initial launch on PH, so let's use this thread to discuss. Here are some questions to get us started, feel free to answer some of these or discuss your own experience: How are you running your sales? What is your sales strategy 6 mo from now? 12 mo? What have been your biggest learnings from selling your product/service? Where are the majority of your leads coming from? What sales cadences/workflows are the most successful? How do you set them up? Best sales tools? Who are your ICPs? Which one tends to buy more? Do you hire internal salespeople or outsource? How do you plan on growing your revenue this quarter?

What have been your biggest learnings from selling your product/service? - There's always a plan until you get punched in the face. Working on DocXter taught me that you have to be adaptive and flexible. Sources you believed would work, don't. And the sources you believed won't work, actually do. You have to keep trying, hit all the channels, and just repeat. More than sales, look forward to building connections and trust, that will create brand advocates. Cause, in the end, there's only so much you can do. So, create an effective communication and support system that earns trust. Rest everything (including sales and recognition) will follow! Where are the majority of your leads coming from? - Referrals Who are your ICPs? Which one tends to buy more? - Our product - DocXter allows you to build a second brain, i.e., an AI-powered knowledge knowledge hub to supercharge your expertise. This can be used by all - Business, Professionals, and Students. Luckily, we've been getting customers from all parts. Coming to which ones tend to buy more - Businesses/Teams Do you hire internal salespeople or outsource? - We are bootstrapped. We can hire or outsource, but we believe those who have worked on the product are more 'affectionate' towards how it's perceived and thought about. Especially when it comes to customer support and service. We have built up channels and working towards automating them to drive sales regularly which include driving traffic, webinars, social posts, etc. How do you plan on growing your revenue this quarter? - We've got an SEO+Content strategy in place, we'd be using it to get more traffic on the website and drive conversions. Plus, we are in the midst of launching DocXter across multiple platforms. Ps. We're gearing up to launch DocXter on PH. Do have a look, every feedback matters. Would love to have yours! Hope my answers help, would love to hear your opinion. And if you have any other questions/topics, would love to connect further!

@adeeb_malik "Sources you believed would work, don't. And the sources you believed won't work, actually do." Wow so true! I've had the exact same experience when building SalesSubs. You mentioned you get a majority of your leads through referrals, would love to know the process of how you get these referrals -- and if you tried any outbound cold marketing and seen success there?

@kristan_salessubs It feels great to know that we're not the only ones who faced that 😅. To get referrals, I'd recommend creating a connection with the customers. Reach out, understand their use case, problems, and address them. Support queries that come in, and group discussions that go on. Take all these as a chance to form a connection with your customer, build a rapport, and then just like asking them for a review, ask them to spread the word. Not all would understand, but those who do know, more users=more resources, thus, new features for em'. For those who do not, you can always incentivize them with add-ons, credits, etc. Also, starting out a referral program helps, as sometimes it's the monetary factor that's required to get referrals 😬. Hope this helps. If you want to know/ask more, feel free to!
