Can you guys give me some best practices/advice on how you crafted your product's landing page? How did your team finally settle on a structure specifically for Product Hunt?

We launched Keypup 2.0 twice, so for the first launch we built a funny interactive game that showed Keypup's features. Then for the second launch we kept it simple, we took our homepage's template (we just redesigned the whole website at that time), we changed the copy for the hunters, and added a banner at the top of our homepage. Be clear on what your product has to offer, add a cool visual and a well-placed CTA, and you're good to go :)

@cica_laure_mbappe thanks for the tip! I really appreciate it. We're crafting our landing page right now and I'd have to say I'm a little (a lot) nervous.

Hi Mia, you can also just build a welcome splash page/pop up into your homepage. A real simple solution if you're a bit shy on resources, but everything I'm reading suggests to invest time building your network here on PH directly, and building pages for your audience we relevant messaging. Good luck!

@drewcalin Hi Drew, thank you so much for the tip. I'm not sure why I haven't thought of that one yet 😂. I appreciate your time!

I used an application called ship 2.0 created for this purpose on Product Hunt, for anyone that has no experience building a landing page, this is the place for you ! https://www.producthunt.com/post...

Just figure out some best websites that match your business and create your own template by selecting the best sections in each of these websites. Each website will be having some best section. Or search for templates available online and download. Some are free some are paid. If the template is good then there is nothing wrong in spending few bucks in buying it. If you buy a CMS site you can manage it on your own you don't need a web developer. Kumar Service apartments in hsr layout

I used Notion & an add-on I built for the occasion: Landing Page Builder for Notion (https://bit.ly/lp-builder-notion-b) It was very convenient to focus on the copy and I'll probably launch other products with that stack!

I think one of the most important things is to keep it simple and clear. Sometimes as makers we can get really excited to share every single cool thing our product does that it can be a lot of text and kinda overwhelming. So I would focus on giving the general idea and what your killer features are and let them figure out the rest when they try it :) This makes your page more readable and if people are curious about something then they will comment and that just creates engagement for you :)

@pablo_fatas It's so hard to narrow down what is just enough info because we're so excited about our work. Thanks for the tip!

@mia_pham Ya when you work on something and your passionate its really hard not to try and share everything because its all so cool to us.

Here's a step-by-step checklist for how to create your landing page: Select a landing page template. Give your landing page a name. Add your unique content. Include striking images. Choose a relevant domain name. Make sure all your links and CTAs are working. Complete your meta description and SEO title. Publish! Expect to pay between $25 to $100 per hour (or more) for someone decent. Expected cost: best tv mount extension for plaster walls Depending on the complexity of the page you want built, and the hourly rate of your freelancer a decent landing page should cost you anywhere from $250 to $2000.
