How do you handle seasonal depression when working remotely?

I am based on Toronto so it is a winter wasteland currently making going outside a terrible time. In the summer I go for walks and that helps with getting enough sunshine. I am looking for some tips and recommendations to beat the winter blues.

The space we inhabit plays a key role in our mood and spirit so you could look into simple ways to transform your space. For example using lighting that mimics sunlight and slightly warmer, especially at night or playing background videos/sounds. Also relevant is having a reserved space for working, that way when you finish work or want a break you can go somewhere else and relax.

If I remember correctly, Andrew Huberman suggests to seek outside, natural light even more during cloudy days. Even if it’s cold I try to go out as much during winter as I do during summer and that kinda helps. What I avoid is to stay inside the whole day. But I don’t live in Toronto, so I guess maybe I’m not taking into account how cold it can get there 😅

Hello! I noticed that this question has become more relevant than ever. I also work remotely, and I understand you like no one else. However, thanks to the recommendations, I always get saved from emotional burnout by https://www.psychreg.org/anxiety... . It is here that I get all the necessary useful information for my inner peace. So I sincerely recommend that you check it out as well.

Working from an office can considerably help you. Get out of your home (although the weather does not help), change your home/work environment, and interact with others. Haven't you tried a shared office or something similar?
