As someone who manages a remote team I’ve found that effective project management principles like work breakdown structure and and one strong communication channel instead of many (our preference is discord) can definitely help set goals, and prioritize effective communication amongst teams members. It’s good to have regular check-ins and quality downtime to make sure everyone’s motivated. I’d love to hear from the product hunt community, What are some of your tips and tricks?

I find celebrating small wins together helpful. Regardless of what you are working on, as long as it's a win, I encourage the members to share their wins with the team. And once in a while, we will have a meetup :)

@semigrownkid that’s a great one! We try to celebrate each team win by measuring the success of how they’ve progressed from the last check point.

I haven't tried Discord yet, but I'm thinking about it. Currently, we're using Gather as a way to simulate a physical office environment. It really helps everyone feel like we're all in the same place and allows us to have spontaneous chats and discussions, just like we would in person.

@imjohnkoo I’ve heard a lot about virtual spaces like Kumo space that help keep people engaged in a remote setting.
