Right now it's very manual: booking meetings and face to face conversations. These conversations should lead to notes about pain points, delight moments, and missing outcomes. They should be heavily focused on what the users do TODAY (not "I would like to do this tomorrow"), and then the product owner should analyze this data and work with the team on how to improve the value being delivered. I'm very skeptical of building what people are asking for (it's obviously something you can do but you need a first principles thinking step in the middle, going down to the problem and starting from there).

Honestly, I always take user feedback with a pinch of salt!

Despite having analytics and doing user testing I also like to watch people IRL using our products and then implement their feedback

We try to collect, examine, and respond to user feedback, and develop projects to align with user requirements, for an enhanced and more user-friendly experience.
As a digital marketing expert, user feedback is gold! I leverage insights to fine-tune campaigns and optimize strategies. Every comment is a window into user preferences, helping us craft a more tailored and engaging experience. How about you? Any user feedback gems you've found particularly impactful?

@m_anees Absolutely, user feedback is indeed invaluable! While I don't have personal experiences, I've seen instances where user feedback has transformed products and services. One notable example is how social media platforms continually evolve based on user suggestions. The ability to listen, adapt, and enhance the user experience is a key factor in the success of any digital platform. It's fascinating to witness the symbiotic relationship between user feedback and the iterative improvement of digital products.

Start looking at the patterns and the repeated feedback. If a lot of users are requesting X, then it's probably a good one to add.

@brenkinfa I think that's a crucial insight. My team is also utilizing recurring feedback to improve the service.

I process each review and add it to my table, and figure out which reviews are in which column, and which solution can massively satisfy customer needs. This is actually a much more complicated process.

hi Simay, if one want to build something useful one should listen to users. It sounds obvious but in B2B sales led companies it hardly happens. You can capture all unstructured feedback and analyse manually or use a tool (especially if you have too much data to analyse) to avoid sampling and bias problems. I use our own tool ferilla.com to process ALL feedback including video/web interviews. Then, group and tag them automatically. I can always add some manual effort but after a while I realised that auto is good enough and very consistent, where if I look at the same feedback again I can tag it differently😅 Once all data/feedback is processed, semantic analysis is completed I create Product Opportunities that later presented to dev team and often get into a roadmap. I hope the process above makes sense. A friend of mine has written a short 101 guide on it - https://ferilla.com/thematic-ana...

#1 thing is that you need to talk to enough users to have a decent sample size. Then look for similar feedbacks among them that are "surprising" to you.

Hey there! Leveraging user feedback is crucial for enhancing the user experience of our projects. We actively encourage users to share their thoughts and suggestions, whether through surveys, user testing, or direct communication. Once we gather the feedback, we carefully analyze it to identify common pain points and areas for improvement. We then prioritize these insights and integrate them into our product development process. Whether it's refining features, improving usability, or addressing specific user needs, we make sure to incorporate the valuable input we receive. Ultimately, our goal is to create a user experience that truly resonates with our audience, and user feedback is an invaluable tool in achieving that. Thanks for asking!

Our company's products are desktop software, so we usually collect user feedback from various channels: official social media accounts, tech support emails, the official website (via Disqus function), online questionnaires, and review websites. Real users’ feedback helps us improve our products, generate new ideas, and maintain customer satisfaction and engagement. For example, after collecting user feedback for an extended period, we recently updated our free productivity software, iBoysoft MagicMenu (Lite Edition), https://iboysoft.com/magic-menu/, a couple of months ago. Now, this freeware meets users' expectations for completing tasks more efficiently. Only one click is required to create new files, copy/move/transfer files to different locations, and instantly access files, URLs, and applications that you frequently use.
