How do you maintain fun at your remote environment?

Remote… ahh, the future of work. You could get so much done without distraction, but it sometimes gets lonely. I feel it can harm the culture inside the team. Informal team member communications, such as a chat about life outside of work, are necessary for building trust. We have teammates who only meet for work purposes at a specified time. One may say it's okay and keeps you concentrated, but I feel that can accelerate burnout and loneliness. I'm not expecting informal communication to happen naturally. Do you have any formalized flows? What have you tried already? Zoom parties / onsite meetings / corporate e-sports tournaments / random coffee?
