How do you see the future of AI in SaaS - Will AI replace Devs?

With the massive boom of AI SaaS products, do you see a future where anyone can generate any app with AI? No-Code SaaS builders like Softr already offer a feature that allows users to generate an app with AI. This is still in an early phase, but maybe within a few years.... Let me know what you think!

As a tech enthusiast who has dabbled in various industries, I believe AI will definitely revolutionize the SaaS space. While AI may not replace devs entirely, it will certainly enhance and streamline the app development process. Exciting times ahead for sure!

@thestarkster Yes it's just that 1 dev is way more powerful than a dev a few years ago. It seems like most technological inventions give more power to an individual, and AI is no exception.

I believe that AI will be doing 99% of the work, but that there will always be a human initiating the creation of apps/software

@maurizioisendoorn Exactly. It will simplify the works of humans.

@joy_anderson1 I guess it won't replace humans, but the way a dev works now will be changed in the future. A dev will probably take the role of managing the AI that writes code

AI will certainly help people who don't code produce a wider variety of apps with more creativity than what one is limited to today with platforms like Shopify, Wix, or even Adalo/Bubble. But I think there will still be limits that prevent more complex apps that are more like "services" (i.e. Uber, AirBnB, etc.) where more experienced developers & software architects will be needed to make those types of apps a reality, albeit with a lot less human developers.

@jason_garabedian What someone can create with Bubble would be considered as pretty complex in the 2000's. That trend is likely to continue, so that what someone can create in 2050 with no code or AI would be considered a pretty complex software/website today.
