Email marketing works in tandem with other (more creative & upcoming) marketing tactics. I have used email marketing when it comes to onboarding folks on a complex platform (hand holding them at important steps to ensure they have the best experience) or to nurture people in the long run (especially folks we met at events or webinars). We have not had much success with it at HowdyGo and have instead focussed on LinkedIn inbound/content generation as well as SEO. We have tried outbound via email and LinkedIn but for our product have found inbound channels much more successful to generate leads!

A good way to boost sales with email marketing, would be the retargeting in the action phase of your marketing funnel. Having a cta to subscribe to your newsletter is a way to use email marketing to boost sales as well.
