First impression and time is irretrievable"—and in product design, that couldn’t be more true. The moment a user encounters your product for the first time, design is what instantly speaks to them. It’s that initial experience that convinces them whether your product is worth their time or just another app in the sea. Design-led growth really drives home the importance of this. It’s not just about making things look good; it’s about crafting every part of the user journey thoughtfully. Onboarding has to be simple and engaging to get users started easily, and the flow throughout should be intuitive so they naturally understand how to use the product. That’s how design helps in not only acquiring but activating and retaining users. When design creates a seamless, welcoming experience, users are more likely to stick around and actually believe in the product’s value.

Design is crucial for a successful product! It’s not just about aesthetics but also about functionality, user experience, and accessibility. Good design makes a product intuitive and enjoyable to use, which directly impacts user satisfaction and retention. A well-designed product can simplify complex workflows, making it a natural fit for users' needs and even boosting productivity. At the end of the day, design is a bridge between the product's value and the user’s experience of that value.

I think the design is crucial. It has to be practical otherwise the user won't get it. This speaks for everything:

Oh, design is only crucial if you want people to actually use and enjoy your product—so, you know, no biggie.
