Depends on the product. If someone gets nr.1 spot but it's mostly from linkedin spamming. then you might not get that much traction. But you can get a lot of traction even if you're nr.6 if you have a product that interest people. Personally I saw a lot of secondary traffic in the after math (trending on designer-news, GitHub trends, twitter, news-letters etc). So be prepped to drink red bull for 2-3 days to follow up on the spike, and maximise the attention :D To answer your question. Got 100k visitors on launch. then 80k the next. then 40k, then 10k etc etc. then a long tail. But I was not able to keep the momentum going. But it wasn't very audacious products like yours 😏

@sentry_co That's the thing, I'm not huntimg for the title, but the value. That's why I'm wondering how many real users hides under 800 PH upvotes and 100's comments?

@nevemind_com the higher you climb the more user visits your website. also the aftermath of winning is much more fruitful than. 4th etc. Like you get featured more places for winning etc. Think long tail.

Nobody wants to share numbers, should I be concerned? 🤔

@nevemind_com do test launches first. fix the FTUX feedback you get from the test launches elsewhere. Here Is a list: https://gist.github.com/eonist/e...

@nevemind_com Just get 2-300 upvotes in the first 2 hours (PH grace period) to get a fair chance and the PH dark lords will take care of the the rest, if "we" like your product 👍👎 ...may the odds be in your favour 😬

@sentry_co right, strategy is clear, but what to know what to be prepared for user-wise.

I've got a big fat zero. I think it may have to do with the fact that I have no idea what I'm doing when it comes to marketing and getting started.
Elizabeth Tishchenko
@kalinr right, PH won't do all the job for you and you need to come being prepared.

@nevemind_com Yeah, it's a long learning process. I think I can make it work though. Eventually.
