The million $ question! How are you expecting to get answered? blogs, articles, videos, minutes, etc per day? What's the measuring unit? Can you start with an example?
@arbaazio The unit can be anything time, articles, videos, or even mental capacity. The truth is I'm observing that I'm developing a bad habit of consuming too much and it makes me anxious and I love to know what others would think on that.

I love the book excerpt accounts on IG (because I don't have time to read books anymore). that's all I consume from SoMe. I use it mostly for DM and discussing in discussions like this one 😬
@sentry_co That's actually very good how do you prevent any other distractions?

Not sure if it counts but I watch YouTube πŸ€” but not socially and I use pinterest not socially
@stagfoo That's so good. Do you also create content?

    Too many hours per day
@psd Yeah, I think me too. YouTube shorts and TikTok takes a lot of time from me and I didn't use to do it. I used to enjoy long-format content and podcasts only but I think I'm developing a very bad habit.πŸ€”πŸ€”πŸ€”

It depends, I usually schedule my whole content at same time on a weekend using Social Champ. It hardly takes me much.

    Uncountable, yet useless.
@hashnimo I agree. Much of it is just random useless content, and that time can be allocated to learning a course or a complete book.

That's an interesting question. Social media is a huge part of our lives and we consume a lot of content from various platforms every day.

We spent almost full of our time with our social media content marketing.

Honestly, I consume a ton of content from social media. It's become such a big part of our daily lives, and it's hard to resist the temptation to scroll through endless feeds.
@andreac_44 I Completely agree. 5 years ago I deleted all my accounts and started to live very very happily. But last year I had to join pretty much all platforms because that's the only possible way to do the marketing for my startup and now I'm seeing a lot of my old bad habits are coming back and it makes me so nervous and I think it's even worst than 5 years ago because back then I wasn't a creator I was just consuming but now that I have to create content I keep comparing myself to other creators and the number of likes and impressions makes me so anxious.

Social media is where we connect, stay updated, and discover new things. The problem is, it's so darn addictive and can easily consume way too much of our precious time. So, my advice? Set some boundaries, my friend. Be mindful of how much social media content you're consuming and make sure it doesn't eat up your entire day.
@roythomas34 That's wonderful advice. How do you set your boundaries? I recently hid the YouTube app from my phone because the YouTube shorts were so addictive to me. But still, I think I need to do more about Twitter and TikTok.
