How not to get overwhelmed?

Hi there. Seeing so many great projects being launched on daily basis, I wonder, how not to get overwhelmed. I believe that everyone here tries to build something useful for others, but I have an impression, that there’s no way there’s no other person/team working on the same, which makes this race quite crazy. I believe in self discipline, time management, work-life balance, but it feels it’s almost impossible today, to catch up. Just wondered what are your thoughts. Cheers

What a great question 🤭 (I’m wondering the same 🙈) for me at least I’m reminding myself that it’s similar to the Instagram effect, where you only see the highlights: we only see (_loads_ of individual products on) the launch day, but not the hours/weeks/months sometimes even longer of process and failures and attempts that go on leading up to it to make it happen. Still, the proportion of product makers compared to the general population will probably be such a tiny fraction 🙈 so don’t compare yourself to others’ journeys 🧡😅

I think focus on your unique value proposition and trust in your vision.
Totally feel you on this. I try to focus on just a few projects I'm most passionate about rather than chasing every new idea out there. Having a clear vision and roadmap helps me stay disciplined. Also carving out dedicated focus time each day to make progress on my top priorities. It's def a challenge though with how fast things move these days! Just gotta find a sustainable rhythm that works for you. 🙌
@williamjosephparker agree. The vision is key. The mistake I made, was not only chasing new ideas, but also solo projects for a singe customer (with little chance to scale) which really burned me out. Roadmap was something I was missing. Lesson learned 😅
Compartmentalise! My ultimate mantra!
