I'm using it for design demos every once in a week.

@simona_o_neill3, time to time. Sometimes every day, sometimes only once a week or a month. I use Screenshot on my mac. What do you use to record the screen?
@serednev cool. I use VideoCom Capture. It’s our own tool. Takes screenshots and the recordings as well. It’s missing some key features for me though, such as the ability to add your webcam, track mouse clicks and auto zoom etc so it’s not ideal. That’s why my team is building the next generation tool for Windows. It’s like Screen Studio for Mac, which I can’t use unfortunately. What’s the Screenshot like ?

Depends on what purpose you write something down.

@simona_o_neill3 thanks Simona, much appreciate it
@entreeden cool. I think that it's one of the most popular use cases. Although, I do a lot of screen recording when communicating with my team. So much easier to show and explain what I'm talking about. Is there anything that you wish your screen recording tool could do, that's currently not posible ?

@simona_o_neill3 yes! I use Quick Time screen recording and it sucks.
I need easier way to set ratio eg 1:1 3:4 16:9.
Way to stop and start it so it save on same clip.
Ability to quickly export to animated gif if I wanted to.

10-100 times a day
@maria_anosova Wow, that's a lot :-) You're like a screen recording ninja lol. What tool do you use?
Not too often, couple times a month. I use SnagIt and the TechSmith suite for screen recording.
@reconcatlord cool, what kind of stuff do you need to screen record? Is TechSmith worth the money they’re charging?
@simona_o_neill3 I use it mainly for instructional/guided clips of how to go about certain research processes that I think others could benefit from, nothing exciting, but I also have used it for beta testing software that needed good feedback to send to the Devs.
I actually beta tested Snag It 2024, that's ironic lol, but I did feel that they were a little steep in their pricing. It was high enough that if I had to purchase an annual license, I might look around first.
