How strong is the personal growth industry these days?

There are so many automated and personalized tools these days to help people journal and reflect and set goals. Is there still value in human connection, face-to-face or videoscreen-to-videoscreen services? Or, are we all just too busy to be bothered and need the quick fix solution in a short 30-second video with a punchline?

Personally I think there's nothing to replace a good therapist or coach or someone to facilitate.

I do not think people can find personal development strategy in 30s videos. I think short video can only kill times!

I think both are incredibly important. Sometimes all you need is an automated product, but as we are humans nothing can beat the power of human-to-human interaction either in person or virtually.

The personal growth industry is thriving, Deron, with technology offering a range of tools that cater to self-improvement on the go. However, the human element remains irreplaceable—real connections and deep conversations often provide insights and breakthroughs that quick fixes can't match.

The personal growth industry is thriving, with a strong shift towards digital tools for convenience, but there's an irreplaceable value in human connection that technology can't replicate. While quick fixes have their place, many still seek out deeper, more personal interactions for meaningful growth and accountability.

I've noticed a growing trend. I do not understand how they counter human connection, or if they can be summed up so briefly.

@edena yes, it seems that way! But, I guess time will tell (or, bring people back to human connection maybe).

Self-reflecting is the same as working out. If you eat junk food, get drunk three times a week, and are in your thirties, it is not likely you will improve your fitness level. The same goes for self-reflecting. Getting off the dopamine hit, aka stop using a mobile device to get entertained, get bored, read, talk to people, get hurt, get excited, discover pottery making, go to the gym, take a walk... whatever, stop staring at the screen. It is hard because quitting any addiction is hard. How strong is the industry? Most industry players are in because it's currently a hot topic. Ones who are in it for the right reasons we rarely know about.

The industry has become more technical, fast-growing and innovatively delivering. that's really a good sign.but i think the technical development has not been able to deliver the expected outcome of "Personal Growth". it definitely should be delivered in collaboration with human interaction, direct face-to-face/ online interaction. that's what encourages people to express true emotions and issues.. human connection/interaction creates a comfortable and realistic atmosphere. it's my opinion respectfully. )

While automated tools and personalized apps certainly offer convenience and efficiency in journaling, goal-setting, and self-reflection, human connection remains invaluable. Face-to-face or video-to-video interactions provide a depth of understanding, empathy, and emotional support that technology can't fully replicate. While automated tools have their place in our busy lives, we shouldn't overlook the importance of carving out time for meaningful connections. Balancing technology with genuine human interaction can lead to a more enriching and fulfilling life overall.#https://alightmotionart.com/whic...
