Hello! We launched our project M1-project.com on ProductHunt on September 7, 2023. I want to share its results :) I will satisfy your curiosity immediately. ⚡Our results (in first 48 hours): Website visitors: 1500 Mail collected: 285+ Since we are in the beta stage, we contact and service all clients manually. At the moment we are working with 20 clients (average bill $75). To achieve such results, we needed to have a successful launch on ProductHunt. ⚡Statistics on ProductHunt: Votes: 246 Comments: 64 Product of the Day: #7 Launch page: https://www.producthunt.com/posts/m1-project ⚡What does launching on ProductHunt give? The main logic of working with ProductHunt is that all launches are shown in random order on the main page for 4 hours and collect votes. After 4 hours, projects are ranked by the number of votes. Roughly speaking: if in 4 hours you have collected the most votes, then your project will be at the very top of the ProductHunt main page. And as we know, ProductHunt’s traffic is huge (5.4 million per month). Also, if your project takes a place in the TOP 10, then ProductHunt will include you in its mailing list of 500,000 emails. ⚡How can you get the same results on ProductHunt? I won’t write that your project should be interesting to people - that’s already clear. If we are talking about numbers, then 150 votes in the first 4 hours will most likely give you a place in the TOP 3. For example, here is the rating on the day of our launch (we are not in the TOP 3): 1st place - 265 2nd place - 224 3rd place - 125 If you manage to take the top place, it will be difficult to knock you out. Because ProductHunt visitors will see you and vote (and the best part is going to your website and leaving requests🔥). ⚡How did we get 7th place on ProductHunt? There are 50-100 launches per day on ProductHunt and it is quite difficult to take a place in the TOP. Making a great product and hoping it will sell itself is not enough. External support is needed. Check out my previous launch: https://www.producthunt.com/posts/m1-chat-com. Only 3 votes! ⚡What did we do to support the launch? Audience with ProductHunt. We made a Teaser on ProductHunt to accumulate an audience there in advance. https://help.producthunt.com/en/articles/6684724-how-do-i-create-a-teaser-for-my-launch We found everyone on ProductHunt who was interested in similar products and told us about ours. We asked you to subscribe to our teaser and support us at launch. (We received about 20 subscriptions). We informed friends and acquaintances about the launch and asked for support. (We had a list of 20 people.) We made announcements in Hunter groups on Facebook. https://www.facebook.com/groups/producthunteurope/ https://www.facebook.com/groups/ProductHuntBerlin/ https://www.facebook.com/groups/PHIndia/ etc Made posts in thematic sections of Reddit: https://www.reddit.com/r/ProductHunters/ https://www.reddit.com/r/indiehackers/ https://www.reddit.com/r/IMadeThis/ https://www.reddit.com/r/roastmystartup/ etc Paid advertising with influencers. I think it was this channel that provided the basis for the votes, but I had to pay for it. Total spent 1000$: 500$ - https://twitter.com/hasantoxr/status/1699683367573487793 200$ - https://twitter.com/heyrobinai/status/1699694820934013218 200$ - https://twitter.com/shushant_l/status/1699682009034199458 100$ - https://twitter.com/Lyle_AI/status/1699680780195348744 All this allowed us to take 7th place and receive about 300 applications, which are still ongoing. This is a big step forward for us, since by communicating with customers and making sales manually, we receive valuable feedback and understand what our product should really be like. Even though the preparation for the launch took 2 weeks, it was worth it. ⚡Additional tips, my conclusions after launch: - We received 1500+ site visitors. I regret that I did not put pixels on FB and other advertising networks to gather an audience. - We indicated a direct link to our launch everywhere, I think it would be more reasonable to indicate links through a redirect and track the number of clicks on each (especially important for influencers). - If you have an MVP, as we did, then I advise you to think through the way of communication with the client in advance. Our mistake was that after leaving mail, the letter did not automatically go to the client (at first we sent it manually). Because of this, there were delays from application to first contact. - One last piece of advice is to respond to comments on ProductHunt quickly and honestly. 2 out of 3 clients who expressed doubts about the benefits of our product, after my detailed answers, got in touch and started working with us. By the way, it is comments like this that are excellent grounds for improving the product and landing page. ⚡Conclusion.
